Mechanical Service Engineer Role

We are recruiting for a Mechanical Service Engineer to service and repair heavy machinery at our client’s Animal Feed and Biofuel production sites. The role involves working remotely, primarily in the South of England, with frequent travel to customer sites across the UK and internationally if required.

About the Role and Responsibilities

• Service and repair a variety of heavy machinery
• Report to the Service Coordinator and collaborate with a team of Service Engineers
• Participate in a dynamic environment that offers professional and personal development
• Work alongside qualified colleagues from various departments nationally and internationally
• Develop and implement proactive preventative maintenance programs for equipment

About You

To succeed as a Mechanical Service Engineer, you should have:

• An agricultural engineering background is advantageous
• Basic mechanical education and practical experience
• Knowledge of lifting and slinging tasks
• Experience servicing and installing mechanical drive components, including gearboxes and bearings
• Experience in a similar role, ideally in a feed mill or biofuel/waste processing environment
• Ability to work in demanding industrial settings
• Knowledge of electronics and hydraulics is a plus
