Field Service Engineer

Location: Home Based – Midlands – UK Travel – Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Leicester, Stafford, Redditch

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (Overtime, Van, Training)

Job Type: Permanent

An established global player in the Loading Bay Solutions sector is looking for an experienced Loading Bay Lift Engineer to be home based in the Midlands.

Main duties and responsibilities:

1. Provide end-to-end technical support, service and breakdown response
2. Onsite technical support
3. Servicing of lifts and other products
4. End user training (operator level)

Job Requirements:

1. Strong experience in field engineering positions including installing and servicing bespoke lifts, integrated systems and standard equipment
2. Knowledge and experience of installing and operating lifts in specialist material environments e.g. food/pharmaceuticals etc
3. IT Knowledge – Microsoft Office and an understanding of drawings and specifications
4. Self-motivating personality that can independently manage service territory, customer contact and company information
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills and passion for excellent customer service
6. Regional coverage with some UK travel sometimes necessary

You will be at least NVQ2 qualified with 5 years experience in Lift and Dock Levellers, Door and Dock Shelters, Goods Lifts, Table Lifts, Scissor Lifts. We are looking for a Loading Bay Lift Engineer with extensive knowledge not only of PPM but also fault finding, reactive repairs and installations. You will be aware of and understand the relevant industry regs – PUWER and EN1570.

Monday to Friday role with plenty of Overtime available. On call 1 weekend in 4.

The role will suit individuals currently working as Field Service Engineer – Scissor Lifts, Loading Bay / Lift Engineer, Technician, Engineer, Field Service.
