Job summary

Rothstein Recruitment is seeking a Service Desk Engineer for a London-based bank to own 1st line support and collaborate with the CTO and transformation teams. The role requires hands-on experience in a financial services environment and managing both on-premise and cloud applications.

Responsibilities include configuring and supporting applications, performing UAT, data analytics, and ensuring data security. A background in Azure Virtual Desktop and SQL is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Desk Engineer in financial services.
• Experience managing on-premise and cloud apps, services, and databases.
• Strong understanding of SQL.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Automation of workflows.
• Knowledge of data analysis and consolidation.
• Understanding of cyber security and data protection including AV solutions.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and Virtual Machines.
• Experience in a regulated financial services environment.
• Familiarity with SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Experience with data warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, monitor, and troubleshoot on-premise and hosted applications and services.
• Provide technical project support for applications and databases.
• Create test plans and execute UAT for applications and databases.
• Provide data analytics on demand.
• Manage database backup, recovery, and access.
• Handle Service Desk requests and general technical support.
