Job summary

Sky UK Limited is seeking a 3rd line support specialist for our Enterprise Technology team in Livingston. You will provide expert support for Sky's virtual desktop platforms, including Citrix VAD and Azure Virtual Desktop, ensuring high availability for thousands of customer-facing colleagues across the UK and beyond.

The role focuses on resolving complex infrastructure issues, driving platform upgrades, and delivering strategic improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a structured approach to problem solving.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Azure services and/or Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
• Good understanding of authentication, remote access and identity technologies.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex issues to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrable ownership and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3rd line support technical expertise for Sky's virtual desktop platforms, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues across Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft Azure and related infrastructure.
• Deliver infrastructure improvements, platform upgrades and strategic transformation projects.
• Collaborate with vendors, architects, security teams and project stakeholders to drive technical solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve platform reliability, automation, monitoring and operational processes.
• Participate in technical reviews, root cause investigations and continuous service improvement activities.
