Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to staff and users via phone, email, or in person.
  • Log, track, and resolve IT service requests and incidents using the service desk system.
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues with guidance.
  • Assist with setting up and configuring desktops, laptops, and user accounts.
  • Help maintain accurate IT documentation and inventory records.
  • Escalate unresolved issues when necessary.
  • Learn and follow IT policies and procedures.
  • Participate in training opportunities.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our IT team as a Service Desk Apprentice. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced IT environment, supporting users with their technical issues and learning from experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line technical support to staff and users via phone, email, or in person.
  • Log, track, and resolve IT service requests and incidents using the service desk system.
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues with guidance from senior team members.
  • Assist with setting up and configuring desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and user accounts.
  • Help maintain accurate IT documentation and inventory records.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate support team as needed.
  • Learn and follow IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities as part of your apprenticeship.
Eligibility to be considered for this apprenticeship
  • 3 GCSEs or equivalent at grades 4 (C) or above in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English at grades 3 (D) or above
