Job Description

DP World is currently recruiting for a Service Desk Analyst to join our dynamic business based in Hinckley on a hybrid working basis. You will provide technical support and resolve issues related to technology products and services. This entry-level role is suitable for recent graduates and involves a shift rota including weekends (about 1 in 7), with 2 days off during the week on your rota weekend.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provisioning user accounts in Active Directory, MS Exchange, TEAMS, and Unix.
  2. Resolving first-level technical issues and collaborating with other IT team members for higher-level issues.
  3. Deploying PCs and laptops, including imaging, application installation, and data transfers.
  4. Performing minor hardware repairs on desktops and peripherals outside warranty or third-party maintenance.
  5. Logging and tracking support calls, prioritizing urgent issues, and escalating when necessary.
  6. Identifying trends in support calls and notifying the Service Desk of unusual or repeated activity.
  7. Handling issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  8. Documenting solutions and updating the knowledge base.
  9. Experience with Jira Service Desk, System Centre Operations Manager, SolarWinds Orion, SCCM; PRTG experience is a plus.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. Degree in Computer Science or a related IT field.
  2. ITIL certification is desirable but not essential.
  3. Attention to detail and adherence to documented processes.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability.
  6. Ability to work independently.
  7. Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  8. Bilingual skills (English and German) are advantageous.
