Lewisham Council is seeking a Senior Service Designer to lead end-to-end service improvements across council services. You will plan and conduct design research, map journeys, and identify opportunities to simplify processes while meeting resident needs and business objectives.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver practical solutions with measurable outcomes, while championing accessible, inclusive services.

Formación

• Degree-level qualification in Service Design or a closely related field or equivalent substantial experience.
• Experience leading complex service discovery and redesign projects.
• Ability to communicate findings to senior stakeholders and guide decision-making.

Responsabilidades

• Lead defined areas of service discovery and redesign across council services and transformation programmes.
• Plan and conduct design research, gather evidence, map end-to-end journeys and processes across channels.
• Identify opportunities, simplify services, and develop improvements with clear measures of success.
• Create design artefacts and recommendations to support senior decision-making.
• Provide professional guidance to colleagues and strengthen service design practice across the Council.
