Southwark Council is seeking a Service Design Lead to steer design activity across major transformation programmes. You will work with residents, frontline services and multidisciplinary teams to create evidence-based, reusable solutions that improve resident experiences and deliver value for money.

In this role you will prototype and test ideas, develop service blueprints, and embed inclusive design practices, ensuring deliverability and affordability within the Change Team.

Formación

• Experience leading or supporting service design projects in large organisations.
• Strong user-centred design methods: research, journey mapping, blueprinting, prototyping, testing.
• Ability to translate research into practical improvements for services and processes.
• Facilitation and communication skills to unite stakeholders.
• Experience across multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Miro, Figma or equivalent tools.

Responsabilidades

• Lead service design activity across transformation programmes from discovery to implementation.
• Collaborate with residents, frontline staff and multidisciplinary teams to define opportunities.
• Develop user journeys, service blueprints and prototypes to explore and test ideas.
• Facilitate workshops and co-design sessions with residents and partners.
• Work with senior leads to ensure solutions are practical, affordable and deliverable.
• Embed equality, accessibility and inclusion into service design.
• Use testing and research evidence to refine solutions and support continuous improvement.
• Contribute to service design standards and templates across the Change Team.
