Southwark Council is recruiting a Service Design Lead to drive user-centred transformation across major programmes. You will lead service design activities from discovery to prototyping, working with residents, frontline services and multidisciplinary teams to create evidence-based solutions.

With experience in journey mapping, prototyping and co-design, you will embed equality and accessibility into service design and help deliver value for money across the council’s Change Team within Strategy

Formación

• Experience leading service design projects in large or complex organisations.
• Ability to translate research, insight and data into practical improvements.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills across multiple stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and with frontline staff.

Responsabilidades

• Leading service design activity across transformation programmes and projects from discovery through to implementation.
• Working with residents, staff and stakeholders to understand needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Developing user journeys, service blueprints and prototypes to test ideas.
• Facilitating workshops and co-design sessions with residents and partners.
• Collaborating with Senior Service Design Leads and operational teams to ensure practical, affordable solutions.
• Embedding equality, accessibility and inclusion into service design.
• Using evidence from testing and pilots to refine solutions and support continuous improvement.
• Contributing to development of service design standards and templates.
