Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Service Designer in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, with hybrid working requiring 3 days in the office. You’ll craft end-to-end services, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and use user-centred design to optimise experiences for clients.

The role emphasises accessibility, sustainability, and governance across design standards. You will support researchers, create service blueprints, and lead workshops to align stakeholders and deliver value.

Qualifications

• Experience with Service Designer role or similar field.
• Advocating for User-Centred Design and accessibility.
• Negotiating with and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Familiarity with design systems, libraries, style guides and patterns.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and user needs.
• Support User Researchers with insights to inform design decisions.
• Champion user-centred design and communicate its value, including accessibility.
• Create service blueprints and user journey maps to visualise end-to-end experiences.
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders and delivery teams to maintain alignment.
• Ensure adherence to client design standards and best practices.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams (Interaction Designers, Researchers, Content Designers, Developers, Analysts).
• Present work and rationale to internal teams and client stakeholders.
• Use evidence to iterate on designs and validate via testing.
