Job summary

Action for Children in the United Kingdom seeks a Service Co-ordinator to lead a new employability delivery team across South Lanarkshire and Ayrshire. You will manage a hands‑on team, work one‑to‑one with young people to identify strengths and barriers, and design tailored employability sessions to support sustained employment.

The role focuses on driving quality, meeting funder expectations, and reporting outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant post-qualification experience of working with young people through multi-agency environments and achieving positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff monitor, record, and review progress at set intervals, providing additional support as needed to meet goals.
• Assist staff in organising, delivering, and evaluating interventions and programs for children, young people, and families.
• Maintain awareness of Health & Safety regulations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all service users, staff, and visitors.
• Provide supervision, line management, mentoring, and coaching to staff, partner colleagues and occasional students.
• Support the CSM in meeting regulatory and legislative requirements for the service.
• Ensure contract requirements and reporting for service delivery are met within relevant timescales.
• Maintain effective working relationships with partnership colleagues.
• Manage delegated responsibility for the service budget.
