Job summary

Action for Children is seeking a Service Co-ordinator to lead a brand-new delivery team within the employability service in a hybrid role across South Lanarkshire or South/East Ayrshire. You will work hands-on with young people, assess strengths and barriers, and help them progress toward sustained employment.

You will design and deliver tailored employability sessions, drive quality improvements, and meet funder expectations while supporting staff and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Post-qualification experience with young people in multi-agency settings.
• Leadership in service user needs assessment delivery.
• Experience chairing meetings and contributing to planning.
• Proven people management skills.
• Partnership working and impact reporting experience.
• Safeguarding knowledge and wellbeing promotion.
• Commitment to equality and diversity in practice.
• Driving licence and car access; travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, record, and review progress; provide extra support to meet goals.
• Organise, deliver, and evaluate interventions for children, young people, and families.
• Maintain Health & Safety compliance for service users and staff.
• Provide supervision, line management, mentoring, and coaching.
• Support the CSM in meeting regulatory requirements.
• Ensure contract reporting timelines are met.
• Maintain effective relationships with partner colleagues.
• Manage delegated service budget.
