Job summary

Veolia Group is recruiting a Service Coordinator based in Avonmouth. The role offers a salary of £32,000–£34,000 per year plus a 15% annual performance bonus, with Veolia benefits and pension.

The position is a full-time, day-based shift with occasional Saturday and bank holiday work on a rota basis. You will proactively communicate with customers, keep drivers updated, manage debriefs, handle queries and incidents, and uphold a zero-harm safety culture across depots while ensuring service

Qualifications

• Must have full UK driving licence.
• Good communication with drivers and frontline staff.
• Ability to organise a busy workload at a fast pace.
• Experience with a quality management system.

Responsibilities

• Proactively communicate with customers. Provide status updates and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day.
• After drivers return to the depot, complete debriefs and report actions as required.
• Be the face-to-face contact with drivers, support safety concerns and close-call reporting.
• Develop a customer excellence culture and respond to queries and complaints.
• Implement service practices meeting customer needs.
• Maintain a zero-harm safety culture within depots.
• Ensure service delivery aligns with customer expectations.
• Engage with Veolia stakeholders and management.
• Ensure Veolia on-site compliance with WTD and transport laws.
• Provide clear daily debrief reporting.
• Lead, manage and develop all direct reports.
• Communicate business matters to drivers.

What you'll be doing

• Proactively communicate with customers. Provide status updates and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day.
• Upon drivers return to the depot, they will complete the debrief process within the allocated time and report any necessary action or updates as required.
• Be the face to face contact with our drivers on a daily basis, supporting drivers to act on issues identified on the rounds which may include reporting all safety concerns or container damage via close call reporting and encouraging 'stop the job' if it is deemed unsafe to continue in line with company operating procedures and processes.
• Create a customer excellence approach & culture.
• React to and manage customer queries and complaints.
• Implement service practices that meet the customers’ needs.
• Maintain a "zero harm" safety culture within depots.
• Ensure service delivery, in line with customer expectations.
• Engage with interested stakeholders including the wider Veolia team or Management team.
• Ensure Veolia legal compliance on site - WTD and transport compliance.
• Provide clear, transparent and accurate reporting of daily debriefing.
• Lead, manage and develop all direct reports
• Communicate matters of business interest and importance to Drivers.

What we're looking for: Essential

• Full Car Driving Licence
• Good communication skills communicating with people of all levels specifically including drivers and frontline employees
• Ability to organise a busy workload and operate at a fast pace
• Working with a quality management system
