Job summary

Veolia in Telford is recruiting a driver to manage planned collection routes, move and service Skip/RORO containers and support essential waste services for the local community.

This role requires a valid Class C licence and up-to-date CPC Tachograph card, with knowledge of the local area preferred. You’ll work 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday mornings; overtime is available.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class C (Cat C) driving licence.
• Up-to-date CPC Digi / Tachograph card required.
• Knowledge of the local area is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and move and empty waste containers.
• Carry out delivery/service of Skip/Roll On Roll Off containers.
• Conform to site rules when offloading at disposal sites.
• Complete daily checks of the vehicle as per driver operator handbook.
• Ensure all information is input into the onboard system and paperwork is kept up to date.
• Comply with traffic laws and ensure carriageway is left clean.

Salary: OTE of up to £40k plus - Weekly Pay Includes £30 weekly bonus payment for no infringements or accidents plus an extra flexibility bonus for team cooperation when required. Hours: 40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the occasional Saturday morning. Start time between 4am - 6am Overtime available. Location: Telford, TF1 7LJ. What you’ll be doing

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving and emptying multiple waste containers
• Carrying out Delivery/Service of Skip/Roll On Roll Off containers
• Conform to all applicable site rules when offloading at disposal sites
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook
• Ensuring all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including security and weight of loads and ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition

What we’re looking for
