Job Description
Job title: Service Coordinator
Department: Service Engineering
Reports to: Service Manager
Salary: £24,000–£27,000 dependent on experience/bonus
Job location: Edincare office (Hemel Hempstead)
Job Summary
As the Service Coordinator, reporting to the Service Manager, you will have an opportunity to develop your skillset including customer service and sales within an established engineering business environment.
Main Duties and Essential Responsibilities
- Reviewing post-sales reports and identifying end user clients suitable for communication to sell service contracts.
- Working with the Senior Service Coordinator to produce client invoices and issue new service contracts.
- Managing the planning, scheduling, allocation, and communication of work duties for our Service Engineers.
- Communicating with Service Engineers to notify them of their job allocations and acting as point of contact when they are on site.
- Raising and sending purchase orders to buy stock as required.
- Preparing and dispatching Installation and Operating Guidelines to clients.
- Maintaining records for sales of service maintenance contracts.
- Organizing Service Department emails, quotes, engineers' photos, documents, and scanning paperwork.
- Drafting, sending, checking, and following up on Commissioning Checklists, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.
- Providing reactive support to clients, including handling complaints.
- Processing client payments as needed.
- Opening client accounts and sending confirmation letters.
- Assisting in preparing data for management reports.
- Liaising with production/warehouse staff regarding product preparation.
- Occasional visits to client sites.
- Transporting stock in company vehicle when required, including lifting heavy items.
- Participating in the company on-call rota at weekends, approximately once every six weeks.

- Ability to understand technical and product information
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with database systems is a strong advantage
