Job summary

Coalesce Recruitment Limited is seeking a Service Controller for a nationwide service provider near Leighton Buzzard. The role involves taking pre-planned maintenance bookings, scheduling visits, and coordinating with engineers, with a salary of £28,000–£30,000 plus holidays, pension, and life assurance.

You will communicate with customers for follow-up visits, update the internal system, and drive cost-control and service-improvement initiatives. Monday–Friday, 40 hours, with standard breaks.

Qualifications

• High attention to detail and accuracy in data input.

Overview

A nationwide service provider to the vehicle fleet industry with an enviable reputation spanning 50 years is looking for a Service Controller to join their Head Office Depot on the outskirts of Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.

Responsibilities

• Take pre-planned maintenance bookings from customers and plan and schedule these.
• Speak to customers to arrange follow‑up visits and book them in.
• Interact with Service Engineers and process Engineer job sheets / work reports.
• Change the job status on the internal system and ensure all inputted data is accurate.
• Take ownership of service improvement initiatives and cost control.

Qualifications

• Track record as a Service Controller, Service Coordinator, Service Administration or similar capacity, ideally within an engineering or technical based business.
• Experience scheduling and planning maintenance work or service visits for Engineers.
• Commercially astute with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interface with people at all levels.
• IT proficiency, especially Office 365, Word and Excel.

Work Hours

40 hours per week Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm with a 1 hour lunch break.
