Job summary

GBR Recruitment Ltd seeks an experienced Vehicle Service Controller to join the vehicle servicing & maintenance team. You will log maintenance requests, schedule engineers, and manage customer communications from a busy service desk.

The role offers a Monday–Friday 40-hour week with initial 5 days in the office, then 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home after probation. Interviews are immediate.

Qualifications

• Experience in a service role booking in vehicle services & maintenance.
• Experience in booking in Engineers & scheduling their work.
• Experience with CRM &/or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls and emails to log maintenance requests, report breakdowns or required maintenance works.
• Schedule field service engineers' day-to-day work.
• Book service engineers to respond to customer calls and advise on likely timescales.
• Advise on minor technical queries and explain technical matters clearly to customers.
• Prioritise and coordinate customer requests.
• Maximise engineers' utilisation.
• Ensure efficient delivery of SLAs, planned works and rework service jobs.
• Follow up on service and maintenance quotations and confirm customer satisfaction with service.
• Raise pro-forma invoices and final invoices for completed works.
• Handle paperwork for service calls and parts orders; ensure parts are ordered and allocated correctly.
• Chase back-ordered parts for outstanding jobs.

GBR Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be working exclusively with a leading specialist vehicle & specialist plant machinery business, recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Service Controller, to join their vehicle servicing & maintenance team, working on a busy service desk.

Working Monday to Friday over a 40 hour week, in a permanent capacity.

Initially 5 days working in the office, then after probation 4 days in the office & 1 day working from home.

Duties:

• Answer incoming customer calls & respond to customer emails, to log maintenance requests, report breakdowns or required maintenance works
• Responsible for scheduling the field service engineers' day to day work
• Booking service engineers to respond to customer calls, advising the customer on the likely timescales to complete the required works
• Offer advice for minor technical queries & explain technical situations with customers in a user-friendly manner
• Prioritise & coordinate customer requests.
• Maximising the use of the engineer's
• Ensure efficient delivery of SLA's, planned works & rework service jobs.
• Make outgoing calls to follow up on service & maintenance quotations, plus checking that the customer is satisfied with the customer service given by the office & the field service engineer
• Raise & issue pro-forma's, plus final invoices for completed works.
• Deal with the paperwork necessary for tracking service calls & any parts orders, ensuring that engineer's parts are correctly ordered & allocated.
• Chase up parts / components back orders for all outstanding jobs.

This role could suit someone working as a Workshop Controller, Service Supervisor, Fleet Controller, Atersales Coordinator, Transport Coordinator, Deport Service Coordinator, Workshop Service Coordinator, Vehicle Repair Coordinator, Vehicle Service Administrator or similar
