Job summary

Bromford Flagship in the Finance department is recruiting a Service Charge Officer for a 12-month fixed-term role. The post focuses on service charge budgets, cost reconciliation and year-end statements, combining numerical work with customer and colleague advisory.

The ideal candidate will be AAT part-qualified or equivalent, have experience with housing management and accounting systems, and possess strong numerical, Excel and IT skills, plus excellent communication.

Qualifications

• AAT part-qualified or equivalent, as a minimum
• Experience using housing management and accounting systems
• Experience of working collaboratively within teams and projects

Responsibilities

• Manage service charge enquiries from internal and external customers
• Review service charge costs for accuracy and completeness
• Work with finance colleagues to investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare annual service charge budgets
• Reconcile actual spend against budgets for schemes with variable service charges
• Produce year-end statements of account in line with leases, agreements and legislation
• Advise development and operational teams on service charge matters
• Support continuous improvement and maintain best practice
