Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking a Service Advisor for a busy dealership in Slough. You will act as the key link between customers, the workshop and parts teams, delivering a professional service and keeping customers updated throughout their vehicle visit.

Role requires a full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK. Salary up to £32,000 plus bonus with an OTE of £38,000 per annum. Standard hours are Mon-Fri 8am-6pm, Saturdays on a rota.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK and a full UK driving licence.
• Experience in a Service Advisor/Aftersales or customer-facing automotive role is advantageous.
• Strong administration, organisation and time management skills.
• Able to work well as part of a team and liaise with workshop, parts and colleagues.
• Flexible, proactive approach; manage bookings, updates, invoicing and paperwork in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide a professional, helpful service throughout their vehicle visit.
• Book service and repair work, prepare job records and ensure all customer and vehicle information is recorded accurately.
• Track vehicle progress through the workshop and keep customers informed with clear updates.
• Work closely with technicians, workshop colleagues and the parts department to support smooth daily operations.
• Explain required work, timescales and costs to customers in a clear and professional manner.
• Support the aftersales team with administration, invoicing, service bookings and related paperwork.
• Promote additional relevant services where appropriate while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
