Job summary

A professional vehicle Service Advisor is sought by Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Oxford to join a reputable franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealer group. This role offers a clear path for career progression within an award-winning business.

The position provides a competitive salary (£28,050 per annum) with a performance-related bonus (OTE around £31,000 per year), 23 days’ annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, and access to extensive training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor or in a similar automotive role.
• Strong organisational and IT skills; Kerridge/Keyloop preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer-service focus.
• UK driving licence with minimal points.
• Knowledge of warranty procedures and CV experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Manage workshop loading and scheduling to optimise workflow.
• Keep customers informed of vehicle progress proactively.
• Book in vehicles with flexible scheduling to suit customers and workshop.
• Identify customer needs and produce accurate cost estimates.
• Prepare detailed job cards, invoices and estimates.
• Explain work carried out and identify additional sales opportunities.
• Generate warranty job cards per manufacturer policies.
• Record all work accurately and classify repairs.
• Liaise with Parts Department to ensure parts availability.
• Maintain knowledge of warranty procedures and liaise with manufacturers.
• Ensure high standards of customer communication.

Duties of the Service Advisor:

• Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction


• Managing workshop loading and scheduling to optimise workflow


• Keeping customers informed of vehicle progress proactively


• Booking in vehicles with flexibility to suit customer and workshop needs


• Identifying customer requirements and producing accurate, fully inclusive cost estimates


• Preparing detailed job cards, invoices, and estimates


• Explaining work carried out and identifying additional sales opportunities


• Generating warranty job cards in accordance with manufacturer policies


• Recording all work accurately and categorising repairs (retail, warranty, internal, non-chargeable)


• Liaising with the Parts Department to ensure parts availability


• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of warranty procedures and liaising with vehicle manufacturers as required


• Ensuring high standards of customer communication throughout

Requirements of the Service Advisor:

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor or similar role within the automotive industry


• Strong organisational and IT skills; experience with Kerridge/Keyloop preferred


• Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach


• Ability to deliver exemplary customer service and maximise sales opportunities


• A UK driving licence with minimal points


• Knowledge of warranty procedures and, ideally, commercial vehicle experience (advantageous but not essential)
