Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking patient, dedicated Sensory Needs Teaching Assistants to support primary pupils with sensory processing needs across Bath and surrounding areas. Roles include 1:1 or small-group work within classrooms, helping students stay regulated and engaged in learning.

The ideal candidate will have experience in schools or childcare, be patient and adaptable, and able to implement individual sensory strategies under teacher guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience in school, nursery, childcare, education or support setting.
• Ideal experience supporting children with SEN or sensory needs.
• Patient, calm and compassionate approach.
• Understanding of individual needs and behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with sensory needs.
• Help manage sensory overload and promote regulation.
• Assist pupils to access learning and participate in activities.
• Implement strategies from teachers and SENCOs.
• Utilise sensory resources to aid individual pupils.
• Support communication, interaction and social development.
