Job summary

NLB Services is seeking an experienced Mainframe Systems Programmer to join our enterprise infrastructure team. You will be responsible for the installation, upgrade, maintenance, and support of the IBM z/OS operating system and related ISV products, primarily from IBM and CA/Broadcom.

You will bring deep z/OS systems programming expertise, strong Parallel Sysplex administration skills, and a track record in large-scale, mission-critical environments such as banking or financial services.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience as a z/OS Systems Programmer.
Deep knowledge of SMP/E, TSO/ISPF, USS, SDSF, JCL, RACF.
Strong Parallel Sysplex implementation and support experience.
Experience with IBM and CA/Broadcom products in large enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain IBM z/OS operating systems.
Manage IBM and CA/Broadcom system software across enterprise environments.
Plan and execute OS upgrades and maintenance using SMP/E.
Administer and support large-scale Parallel Sysplex environments for HA and performance.
Perform system performance monitoring and capacity planning.
Analyze and resolve complex system-level issues related to z/OS and middleware.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform stability.
Implement maintenance, service packs, and vendor updates.
Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability initiatives.
Maintain security controls and compliance with standards.
Document procedures and runbooks; contribute to root cause analysis.
