Job summary

NTT DATA, Inc. is seeking an experienced z/OS Mainframe Systems Programmer to join our enterprise infrastructure team for the UK and Europe.” The role focuses on installation, upgrade, maintenance and support of the IBM z/OS operating system and related products.

You will work across large-scale environments in financial services, ensuring high availability and security. The ideal candidate has deep z/OS expertise, strong Sysplex skills, and a proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues,

Qualifications

10+ years of hands-on experience in z/OS Systems Programming.
Deep knowledge of z/OS, SMP/E, TSO/ISPF, USS, SDSF, JCL, RACF.
Strong expertise in Parallel Sysplex implementation and administration.
Extensive experience installing, configuring, supporting and maintaining IBM and CA/Broadcom mainframe products.
Experience in large enterprise environments, preferably Banking/Financial Services.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain IBM z/OS operating systems.
Manage IBM and CA/Broadcom system software across enterprise environments.
Plan and execute OS upgrades and maintenance using SMP/E.
Administer and support Parallel Sysplex environments for high availability.
Perform system monitoring, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
Analyze and resolve complex z/OS–level issues with middleware and infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform stability.
Implement maintenance and vendor-recommended updates.
Provide on-call and after-hours support for production changes and incidents.
Create technical documentation and runbooks.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to problem management.
