Job summary

NTT DATA, Inc. is seeking an experienced z/OS Mainframe Systems Programmer Lead to provide technical leadership across the IBM Z platform for the UK and Europe.

The role includes architecture, installation, upgrades, maintenance, and lifecycle management of z/OS and related software, with focus on high availability and complex enterprise environments. Qualifications

• 15+ years of hands-on IBM z/OS Systems Programming.
• 5+ years leading Mainframe infrastructure teams.
• Extensive experience installing, upgrading, maintaining, and supporting IBM/Broadcom (CA) mainframe products.
• Expert knowledge of Parallel Sysplex, high availability, DR, and enterprise mainframe architecture.
• Demonstrated leadership in large-scale mainframe initiatives and team mentoring.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and support of enterprise z/OS infrastructure environments.
• Provide technical leadership for z/OS upgrades, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
• Architect and manage large-scale Parallel Sysplex environments for high availability and performance.
• Oversee installation, configuration, and support of IBM and Broadcom (CA) products.
• Establish standards, governance, and best practices for mainframe operations.
• Drive modernization, automation, and capacity management initiatives.
• Lead root-cause analysis for critical incidents and act as escalation point.
