Job summary

Education Authority seeks a Senior Youth Worker 1 (Specialism - Local) to lead youth work programmes across a designated area in line with policy. You will develop an Annual Action Plan, engage young people and partner agencies, and oversee area project administration and finances.

The role requires Qualified Youth Worker status, 2+ years of supervisory youth work experience, and strong IT skills with Microsoft Office. Mobility for field work is essential.

Qualifications

• Be a qualified Youth Worker in accordance with the JNC criteria.
• Minimum of two years’ post qualifying experience managing a Youth Centre or Youth Project.
• Minimum of two years’ experience managing youth work staff.
• Demonstrable knowledge of IT systems including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Must have access to suitable vehicle or alternate transport for mobility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage youth work programmes across the designated area.
• Develop Annual Action Plan and contribute to Area Plan.
• Ensure active participation of young people in programmes.
• Manage administration and financial matters for the Area Project.
• Develop links with agencies to enhance services.
