Qualifications

• Essential Criteria: EA Youth Service Youth Support Worker qualification or equivalent.
• Experience: at least six months as Assistant Youth Support Worker in a youth work setting.
• Skills/Abilities: working knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Other: willingness to undertake job-related training as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prioritise and deliver a youth work programme in the designated area.
• Provide leadership and support for part-time workers and volunteers.
• Encourage youth participation and develop youth engagement.
• Build relationships with the community and external agencies.
• Support young people to express goals and work effectively in groups.
• Promote safeguarding and implement child protection policies.
• Manage project administration, including records and financial matters.
• Assist with recruitment and induction of paid staff and volunteers.
