Cognizant in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Principal Consultant for Workday Payroll to lead design, delivery, and success of payroll implementations. You will guide clients and project teams, align solutions with business goals, and act as a trusted advisor on payroll transformation.

The role combines deep Workday Payroll expertise with delivery leadership, pre-sales support, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
Active Workday Payroll Certification preferred.
5+ years of Workday implementation experience.
Experience leading Workday Payroll workstreams on medium to large deployments.
Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management.
Excellent communication with executive-level stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Serve as a senior Workday Payroll subject matter expert on strategy and operations.
Lead client workshops and design discussions to define scalable payroll solutions.
Own solution design and oversee configuration, testing, deployment and post go-live.
Act as functional lead for medium to large Workday Payroll implementations.
Advise clients on payroll processes, controls and transformation initiatives.
Collaborate with HCM, Benefits, Time Tracking, Integrations, Reporting and Security teams.
Support interfaces with payroll providers, benefits vendors and third-party apps.
Mentor consultants and contribute to knowledge sharing and training.
Support business development including proposals and demonstrations.
