Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Workday Learning Senior Principal Consultant in the UK to lead the design, delivery, and success of Learning implementations. You will guide clients and project teams, aligning solutions with business objectives and Workday best practices.

You will blend deep Workday Learning expertise with delivery leadership, pre-sales support, and people development responsibilities, mentoring teams and driving practice growth while supporting business development activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Active Workday Learning Certification required.
• 5+ years of Workday implementation experience.
• Proven experience leading Workday Learning workstreams on medium to large implementations.
• Deep functional expertise in learning and development processes, learning management systems, and Workday Learning functionality.
• Experience gathering requirements, facilitating workshops, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Experience supporting pre-sales activities, including estimations, proposals, and solution presentations.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, stakeholder management, and consulting skills.
• Executive-level stakeholder engagement.
• Travel willingness and ability to travel on-site as needed.
• Eligible for SC Clearance - UK resident for last five years and legally entitled to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior Workday Learning subject matter expert, providing guidance on learning and development strategy, processes, and Workday best practices.
• Lead client workshops, discovery sessions, and design discussions to define scalable Workday Learning solutions aligned to business requirements.
• Own solution design and provide oversight across configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live transition activities.
• Act as the functional lead for medium to large Workday Learning implementations, managing key solution decisions, risks, and dependencies.
• Provide strategic guidance on learning administration, content management, enrolment processes, learner experiences, compliance training, and skills development.
• Collaborate with HCM, Talent, Recruiting, Security, Reporting, Integrations, Change Management, and Project Management teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Support testing, data conversion, cutover, and deployment activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor and coach consultants and senior consultants, providing quality reviews and functional leadership.
• Support business development activities including solutioning, estimations, proposals, demonstrations, and customer presentations.
• Contribute to practice development through methodology improvements, internal training, asset creation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Maintain expertise in Workday Learning functionality, industry trends, and product innovations.
