Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking experienced technical project managers for UK water and wastewater projects, including AMP8 delivery across multiple offices. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage scope, cost and schedule, interface with clients, and drive risk-aware decisions to deliver critical water infrastructure.

The role offers hybrid working with a supportive, employee-owned environment and opportunities across our Water Utilities Division to impact communities and the environment.

Qualifications

• Essential: Degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Demonstrable project management experience delivering infrastructure in water sector.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across project lifecycle.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage programme, cost, and water/wastewater risks.
• Proven ability to work independently and guide others.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of projects on time, on cost and to quality, complying with management systems.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across design and delivery stages.
• Act as key client interface, building strong trusted relationships.
• Identify, manage and mitigate project risks and opportunities.
• Oversee commercial and contractual aspects including forecasting and reporting.
• Support team development and mentoring of junior staff.
