Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking technical project managers for its Water Consultancy Division across UK offices. You will lead multi-disciplinary water projects through the full lifecycle, collaborating with clients and contractors to deliver on time, cost, and quality.

The role offers hybrid working, specialist water market exposure, and opportunities to progress within a global consultancy. The candidate will have an engineering degree, Chartered status, and proven delivery of infrastructure

Qualifications

Degree-qualified in engineering or a related discipline.
Chartered Engineer and membership of a relevant institution (e.g. ICE, IMechE).
Demonstrable project management experience delivering infrastructure projects, ideally in the water sector.
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across project lifecycle stages.
Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage programme, cost, and engineering risks to achieve successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

You will manage multi-disciplinary water projects across the full project lifecycle.
Lead the delivery of projects to time, cost, and quality, ensuring compliance with business management systems.
Manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinating technical specialists across design and delivery stages.
Act as a key client interface, building strong and trusted relationships.
Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and opportunities.
Oversee commercial and contractual aspects including forecasting, programme control, and reporting.
Support team development, providing guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
