Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager for water infrastructure projects in the UK, with a hybrid working model. You will lead multiple small to medium water utility schemes, covering wastewater and potable water, within long‑term client frameworks with major UK water companies.

You will drive PM practices, support regional project delivery, and potentially manage complex projects directly. Collaboration with civil, mechanical, electrical, and process engineers is essential.

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent in an engineering subject - e.g. civil, mechanical, electrical.
• Experience in delivering water or wastewater treatment projects.
• Strong commercial, risk management and contractual skills and experience, e.g. NEC4.
• Chartered or working towards Chartered Engineer Status or APM registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide input/support on continuous improvement to, and execution of, project delivery procedures.
• Drive consistent Project Manager (PM) practices and procedures in alignment with AECOM PM requirements and the Project Delivery System (PDS).
• Oversee the work of one or more Project Managers and provide support as required into any of the Project Managers tasks noted above.
• Depending on region and project requirements you may also project manage more complex projects of your own, in addition to the above.
