Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our growing UK water teams in locations including London, High Wycombe, Reading, Brighton, Southampton or Cambridge. You’ll deliver process solutions across water and wastewater projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive delivery and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in process engineering within the water, wastewater, utilities or related sectors.
• Experience with process design, calculations, mass balances and hydraulic assessments.
• Ability to own technical tasks within multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and practical engineering solutions.
• Good written and verbal communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop process engineering solutions across water and wastewater projects.
• Undertake process calculations, mass balances, hydraulic assessments and evaluations.
• Develop and review technical reports, specifications and calculations.
• Own work packages, manage inputs, quality and timescales.
• Support design development from concept to detailed design and construction.
• Contribute to site investigations, asset assessments and optimisation studies.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and environmental engineers.
• Engage with clients to translate requirements into practical solutions.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and support team development.
• Contribute to technical innovation and continuous improvement.
