Job summary

Stantec is looking for a Principal Process Engineer to join our Process Engineering teams across the UK, with roles available in London, High Wycombe, Reading, Brighton, Southampton or Cambridge. You will lead technical delivery for water and wastewater projects and guide design and process evaluations through the full project lifecycle.

You will mentor engineers, drive innovation, and help deliver resilient, sustainable infrastructure for communities and the environment while strengthening

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or related discipline.
• Significant experience in process engineering in water/wastewater or utilities.
• Strong design, calculations, mass balances and hydraulic assessment knowledge.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of process engineering solutions for water and wastewater projects.
• Develop, review and assure process designs, calculations and specifications.
• Provide technical direction to project teams and ensure practical, sustainable outcomes.
• Take a leading role from concept to detailed design and construction support.
• Support asset optimisation, performance improvement and site investigations.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and environmental specialists.
• Build strong client relationships and translate challenges into engineering outcomes.
• Contribute to investment programmes, bids and framework opportunities in the UK water sector.
• Mentor and develop engineers and promote knowledge sharing.
