Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our UK water team, delivering resilient water and wastewater solutions across multiple project sites including London, High Wycombe, Reading, Brighton, Southampton or Cambridge.

You will lead process engineering delivery, perform calculations, develop reports, and work with multidisciplinary teams to drive practical, innovative outcomes across the water cycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering is required.
• Experience in process engineering within water, wastewater, utilities or related sectors.
• Practical experience in process design, calculations, mass balances and hydraulic assessments.
• Good understanding of water and/or wastewater treatment processes.
• Experience taking ownership of technical tasks within multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to derive practical solutions.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop process engineering solutions across water and wastewater projects.
• Undertake process calculations, mass balances, hydraulic assessments and evaluations.
• Develop and review technical reports, specifications and calculations.
• Take ownership of technical work packages and ensure timely delivery.
• Support design development from concept through to construction support.
• Contribute to site investigations, asset assessments and optimisation studies.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and environmental engineers.
• Engage with clients to translate requirements into practical engineering solutions.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and contribute to team development.
• Support innovation and continuous improvement across process engineering work.
