Job summary

Stantec in the UK is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our growing water team across multiple locations including London, High Wycombe, Reading, Brighton, Southampton or Cambridge. You’ll deliver process engineering solutions for water and wastewater projects, developing technical reports and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

This role offers opportunities to lead technical work packages, mentor junior engineers and contribute to innovation while supporting clients and advancing

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Chemical or Process Engineering.
• Experience in process engineering within the water or utilities sectors.
• Experience with process design, calculations, mass balances, hydraulic assessments and/or treatment process evaluation.
• Good understanding of water and/or wastewater treatment processes and engineering principles.
• Experience taking ownership of technical tasks within multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage workload in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Develop process engineering solutions across water and wastewater projects.
• Undertake process calculations, mass balances, hydraulic assessments and treatment process evaluations.
• Develop and review technical reports, specifications, calculations and other project deliverables.
• Take ownership of technical work packages, managing inputs, quality and delivery to agreed timescales.
• Support process design development from concept through to detailed design and construction support.
• Contribute to site investigations, asset assessments, optimisation studies and technical workshops.
• Work closely with civil, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and environmental engineers to develop integrated solutions.
• Engage with clients and project teams to understand requirements and translate challenges into practical engineering solutions.
• Support and mentor less experienced engineers, sharing knowledge and contributing to the wider development of the team.
• Contribute to technical innovation, best practice and continuous improvement across our Process Engineering work.
