Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our UK water teams across London, High Wycombe, Reading, Brighton, Southampton or Cambridge.

You’ll lead process engineering work on water and wastewater projects, working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical solutions and support career development. You’ll contribute to process design from concept to construction, mentor junior engineers and help drive innovation in our process delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Chemical or Process Engineering.
• Experience in process engineering within water, wastewater, utilities or related sectors.
• Experience in process design, calculations, mass balances, hydraulic assessments and/or treatment process evaluation.
• Good understanding of water and/or wastewater treatment processes and engineering principles.
• Ability to manage own workload in multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to develop practical engineering solutions.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop process engineering solutions across water and wastewater projects.
• Undertake process calculations, mass balances, hydraulic assessments and treatment process evaluations.
• Develop and review technical reports, specifications, calculations and other deliverables.
• Take ownership of technical work packages and ensure delivery to timescales.
• Support process design development from concept through to detailed design and construction support.
• Contribute to site investigations, asset assessments, optimisation studies and workshops.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and environmental engineers to develop integrated solutions.
• Engage with clients to translate challenges into practical engineering solutions.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and contribute to team development.
• Support technical innovation and continuous improvement in Process Engineering.
