Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Principal or Associate Engineer (Wastewater Network Modelling) to help deliver projects across the UK. You will support team leaders, supervise tasks, review deliverables and contribute to the growth of a high-performing water team.

You will work with clients such as Severn Trent, Scottish Water Horizons, Welsh Water and Southern Water, shaping technical direction and ensuring high-quality delivery while advancing your own chartership and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree and chartered, or progressing toward qualification with ICE, IEI, IoW or CIWEM.
• Experience with wastewater hydraulic modelling (InfoWorks ICM) and can check outputs before issue.
• Good knowledge of Water Industry Specifications and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop the urban drainage modelling capability and provide training to junior members.
• Support the team lead in managing the local technical delivery team.
• Provide technical input on urban drainage projects and support the wastewater team in delivery.
• Exercise independent engineering judgement and propose innovative solutions.
• Develop and maintain excellent client relationships and coordinate project meetings.
• Participate in business development and proposal preparation.
• Promote the WSP brand through industry forums and conferences.
• Share knowledge and contribute to the learning of the wider team.
