Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Principal or Associate Engineer (Wastewater Network Modelling) to support project delivery, supervise tasks and review deliverables within our awarded water team. This role offers opportunities to advance technical skills and leadership across a network of 350 professionals.

You will develop urban drainage modelling capability, support local delivery teams, influence project approaches, and build strong client relationships with major water utilities while

Qualifications

• Degree and chartered status or progress toward Chartership (ICE/IEI/IoW/CIWEM).
• Experience in wastewater hydraulic modelling with credible outputs checked for quality.
• Knowledge of Water Industry Specifications, Code of Practice for Hydraulic Modelling of Urban Drainage Systems and British Standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop the urban drainage modelling capability and mentor junior members.
• Support the team lead in managing the local technical delivery team.
• Provide technical input on urban drainage projects and support wastewater projects.
• Exercise independent engineering judgement and offer innovative solutions.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and coordinate project meetings.
• Participate in business development and proposal preparation.
• Promote the WSP brand at industry forums and conferences.
• Contribute to learning and knowledge sharing within the team.
