Job summary

WSP UK is seeking a Principal/Associate Engineer (Wastewater Network Modelling) to support project delivery, supervise tasks and review deliverables within a 350-strong UK water team. You will develop urban drainage modelling capability, mentor juniors, and contribute to technical delivery and client engagement across landmark wastewater projects.

The role offers progression, a hybrid work model with two remote days per week, and opportunities to shape the direction of a growing team working

Qualifications

• Degree and chartered status (ICE/IEI/IoW/CIWEM) or progress toward.
• Experience with wastewater hydraulic modelling (InfoWorks ICM) and ability to check outputs.
• Knowledge of Water Industry Specifications and relevant British Standards.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop the urban drainage modelling capability in the team and train junior members.
• Support the team lead in managing the local technical delivery team.
• Provide technical input on urban drainage projects and support wastewater team delivery.
• Exercise independent engineering judgement and provide innovative solutions.
• Develop and maintain excellent client relationships and coordinate meetings.
• Participate in business development and proposal preparation.
• Promote the WSP brand through industry forums and conferences.
• Contribute to learning of the wider team through knowledge sharing.
