Job summary

WSP seeks a Principal or Associate Engineer (Wastewater Network Modelling) to lead delivery, supervise tasks and review deliverables within a growing UK water team.

You will develop urban drainage modelling capability, mentor juniors, manage client relationships and contribute to bids while applying InfoWorks ICM and industry standards.

The role offers hybrid UK work, progression through Chartership, and exposure to landmark projects for major clients.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree and chartered, or significantly progressed toward charted status with ICE, IEI, IoW or CIWEM.
• Proven experience in wastewater hydraulic modelling (InfoWorks ICM) and ability to check others' outputs before issue.
• Strong knowledge of Water Industry Specifications and Hydraulic Modelling standards.
• Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop the urban drainage modelling capability in the team and train junior members.
• Support the team lead in managing the local technical delivery team.
• Provide technical input on urban drainage projects and support wastewater team in delivery.
• Exercise independent engineering judgement and provide innovative solutions.
• Develop and maintain excellent client relationships and coordinate project meetings.
