Job summary

WSP is seeking Wastewater Network Modellers (Assistant to Principal) to join our established water team. You will deliver projects for major UK water companies, analyse hydraulic models, and develop new models across various client needs while collaborating with a large, multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in engineering or related fields, chartered status or working toward chartership, and strong experience in InfoWorks ICM, GIS, and urban drainage modelling.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, environmental science, or geography.
• Chartered membership or working towards chartership.
• Strong knowledge of urban drainage modelling and ability to check outputs prior to issue.
• Experience with hydraulic modelling software (InfoWorks ICM or similar).
• Familiarity with GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical input on urban drainage projects and influence efficient delivery.
• Support feasibility studies and optioneering.
• Use network models to evaluate asset performance.
• Prepare reports and supporting drawings.
• Define work needed by field investigation teams.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and coordinate meetings.
• Contribute to team knowledge sharing and industry forums.
