Leicestershire County Council is seeking a Senior Waste Operations & Contracts Management Officer to lead on waste project delivery and manage RHWS and WTS operations. The role requires experience in contract management, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement.

The post involves overseeing procurement, compliance with health and environmental legislation, and coordinating with the Waste Management Delivery teams. Flexible working options may be discussed during recruitment.

Formación

• Requires a relevant degree or equivalent experience in waste management, contract management or contract procurement.
• Hold a COTC or be willing to work towards it.

Responsabilidades

• Lead on development and delivery of waste operational projects and improvements.
• Develop and deliver recycling and treatment services.
• Develop and deliver savings initiatives (including income generation).
• Monitor and manage relevant budgets.
• Procure, manage, and operate waste and related maintenance contracts for RHWS, WTS and environmental maintenance.
• Monitor compliance at RHWS and WTS sites with health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Oversee site provision of operational equipment, legal consents, CCTV and maintenance.
• Support the Waste Management Delivery teams and Team Manager as required.
