Job summary

InPost is recruiting an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager for Yeovil to lead the despatch operation, optimise the mechanical sortation process, and develop the shift team to deliver high performance and customer service excellence.

The role requires proven leadership in parcel/logistics, strong CI and cost-optimisation capabilities, plus solid knowledge of H&S, drivers' hours, tachograph rules, and WTD. Occasional UK travel may be expected.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience in high-volume parcel/logistics environments.
• Proven track record in managing mechanical parcel sortation and operations.
• Experience driving continuous improvement and cost efficiency.
• Budget management, KPI tracking and performance analysis experience.
• Strong knowledge of Driver Hours, Tachograph and WTD regulations.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Oversee despatch operation daily to ensure high-performing, efficient service.
• Lead and develop the operational team with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Meet and exceed customer KPIs and performance targets.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure health & safety compliance and a safe working environment.
• Coordinate training and development to boost skills and performance.
• Optimize deployment of drivers and vehicles to meet demand.
• Collect and report on operational data to identify efficiency gains.
• Oversee site maintenance and housekeeping to keep depot compliant.
