Job summary

InPost UK is seeking a Depot Manager in Yeovil to lead a fast-paced, 24 hour parcel logistics operation. You will be responsible for the depot’s performance, driving service quality, cost efficiency and high standards of customer service across internal and external stakeholders.

You will manage a large team, recruit and develop staff, and use data and KPIs to deliver continuous improvement. A strong focus on safety, compliance and innovation is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large-scale logistics or depot operations.
• Strong financial awareness with budgeting and cost control.
• Proven ability to use KPIs and performance data to drive improvements.
• Experience leading sizeable teams, recruitment, and development.
• Customer-focused with ability to build relationships with customers and partners.
• Experience managing operational and regulatory compliance (H&S, security).

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall depot performance, ensuring service, cost, quality and performance standards are met.
• Analyze data and KPIs to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
• Recruit, develop and manage a high-performing team.
• Manage budgets, costs and resource utilization to safeguard efficiency.
• Build strong relationships with customers, partners and internal stakeholders to meet service expectations.
• Ensure safety, security and regulatory compliance across the depot.
