Job summary

Lord Search & Selection in North Birmingham is seeking a Senior Voice & Network Engineer for a varied, hands-on role covering 2nd/3rd line support, projects, and client‑facing engineering across hosted voice, networking, security, and Cyber Essentials.

You'll survey sites, design solutions, install and configure equipment, manage SBCs and carrier integrations, and contribute to pre‑sales and solution design. A full UK driving licence and national travel are essential.

Qualifications

2nd/3rd Line Voice & Network experience within an MSP, telco or communications environment.
Strong networking knowledge across routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls and Wi‑Fi.
Strong understanding of SIP, RTP, codecs, QoS and NAT.
Site survey and installation experience.
A full UK driving licence.
Experience with SBCs, Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti, Wildix, Gamma iPECS, CCNA, SD‑WAN/SASE or pre‑sales would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Cover 2nd and 3rd line support, technical projects and client‑facing engineering.
Work across hosted voice and VoIP solutions, network design, connectivity and security.
Conduct site surveys, installations and configuration.
Manage SBCs and carrier integrations.
Perform complex fault finding and root‑cause analysis.
Contribute to pre‑sales and solution design.
