Job summary

Synchro are seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to lead and evolve a large-scale network across the UK. This hands-on role covers troubleshooting, performance tuning, and project delivery, with initial onsite presence in Leicester before hybrid work arrangements.

You will own LAN, WLAN and WAN, configure Cisco gear, and drive security and resilience initiatives in a multi-site environment.

Qualifications

Strong commercial experience supporting enterprise-scale networks.
Advanced experience configuring and maintaining Cisco network equipment.
Strong troubleshooting skills across LAN, WLAN and WAN.
Experience with network design, implementation and optimisation.
Good understanding of network security principles and best practice.
CCNA, CCNP or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Own the organisation’s LAN, WLAN and WAN infrastructure.
Configure, maintain and optimise Cisco network infrastructure.
Diagnose and resolve complex network issues across multiple UK sites.
Contribute to network design, implementation and continuous improvement projects.
Identify opportunities to improve network resilience, performance and security.
Work closely with other infrastructure and IT teams to deliver technical projects.
Act as a technical point of escalation and share knowledge with other engineers.
