Job summary

Halfords Autocentres in Andover is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to service and repair vehicles to high standards. You will handle routine maintenance and more complex tasks while ensuring safety and quality across multiple systems, including brakes and electricals.

The role requires a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience, plus a full driving licence with minimal points.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must hold a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair/replacement tasks.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair vehicles; carry out replacement and maintenance tasks.
• Perform more complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements and diagnostics.
• Work across systems including electrics, brakes, steering and suspension to diagnose and fix faults.
