Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd has an exciting opening for a Senior Vehicle Technician at a well-established main dealer in Stockport, Greater Manchester. The role offers progression and manufacturer training within a busy workshop environment.

You will service and repair vehicles, diagnose faults with modern equipment, and perform road tests to confirm fixes, while maintaining high quality workmanship and customer service standards. Permanent, full-time hours are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Experience as a Vehicle Technician in a main dealer or independent garage.
• Strong diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical faults.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle servicing and maintenance per manufacturer guidelines.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
• Complete vehicle health checks using diagnostic tools.
• Perform warranty repairs following manufacturer procedures.
• Carry out road tests to verify fault rectification.
• Complete all relevant paperwork and job cards to high standards.

We are currently seeking a Senior Vehicle Technician to join a well-established main dealer in Stockport, Greater Manchester. • Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, with 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:30am-12:30pm

Duties

• Conduct vehicle servicing and maintenance in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
• Complete vehicle health checks using advanced diagnostic tools
• Perform additional repairs as authorised by customers
• Carry out warranty repairs following manufacturer procedures
• Conduct road tests to ensure fault rectification
• Complete all relevant paperwork and job cards to high standards
• Maintain excellent standards of workmanship and customer service
• Support workshop team members and contribute to a positive working environment

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician within a main dealer or independent garage
• Strong diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical faults
• Full and valid UK driving licence
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
• Ability to work independently and support team colleagues
• Proactive and aiming for career growth
• Diagnostic, MOT, and Hybrid/EV experience is advantageous but not essential
