Job summary

Experis (Austria) is seeking a Senior User Researcher to help shape public services. This UK remote role focuses on user-centred delivery with a daily rate of £700-£750 Inside IR35.

You will run end-to-end research, conduct interviews and usability tests, and synthesize findings into actionable guidance for cross-functional teams. Strong stakeholder engagement and inclusive research practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in the Public sector and GDS.
• Strong experience delivering user research within Agile, multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience planning and conducting user research independently.
• Strong qualitative research skills, including interviews, usability testing, and discovery research.
• Experience analysing and synthesising research data into meaningful insights.
• Knowledge of inclusive and accessible research practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to advocate for user-centred design and evidence-based decision making.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver end-to-end user research activities across the product lifecycle.
• Conduct user interviews, usability testing, workshops, and other qualitative research techniques.
• Analyse research findings and synthesize insights into actionable recommendations.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Developers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders within multidisciplinary teams.
• Champion user-centred design principles and advocate for user needs throughout delivery.
• Support Agile teams by embedding research into sprint planning and decision-making.
• Communicate findings clearly through presentations, reports, personas, journey maps, and other research artefacts.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and use evidence to influence decisions.
