Job summary

An experienced User Researcher is sought to drive a large-scale digital transformation programme, improving access to digital services and bringing multiple services into one accessible platform. You will plan and conduct user research, translate findings into actionable insights, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to influence decisions.

The role emphasises user-centred design, accessibility, and evidence-based decision making, with NHS experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a User Researcher role within digital environments.
• Must have proven experience within the NHS.
• Strong knowledge of user-centred design, research methodologies and usability testing.
• Experience conducting user interviews, analysing qualitative data and communicating insights.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and engage stakeholders effectively.
• Understanding of accessibility, inclusive design and digital service standards.
• Experience supporting complex digital services or transformation programmes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviours and pain points.
• Use qualitative and quantitative research methods, including user interviews, usability testing and surveys.
• Translate research findings into actionable insights to inform service design and product development.
• Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, developers and stakeholders to influence decisions.
• Map user journeys and identify opportunities to improve accessibility, usability and the overall digital experience.
• Present research findings and recommendations to support evidence-based decision-making.
